When attempting to create a customer, an error message may appear preventing you from completing the registration. Below are some of the most common causes.
Error: Key field
When filling in the Name field (for example), if the icon next to it turns red, it means that the name entered is already registered in the system.
In this case, use the global search bar to look up the name and check which customer it is associated with.
Error: Required field
When a required field is not filled in, the system prevents the creation of the customer and displays alerts in three ways:
The required field is highlighted in red;
A red message is displayed next to the Save button;
A warning notification appears in the lower right corner of the screen.
To complete the customer creation, you must fill in this and all other required fields.
Error: Input mask
Some fields, such as Telephones and ZIP code, have system-defined input masks and validations.
It is not possible to remove the mask from these fields or create custom masks. In these cases, you must verify that the field entered is valid and that all required digits have been filled in correctly.
Error: Permissions
This error may occur when there is a conflict in the permission rules.
For example, if your user profile does not have permission to create customers, the system will prevent the action. In this case, contact the account administrator (if you are not one) and request a review of the permissions to avoid this error.
