How to segment customers by ID?

Learn how to organize customers by ID using custom tabs.

If your customer database contains more than 50,000 items (rows), you will not be able to export the entire tab at once.

In this case, you can create tabs segmented by ID, dividing customers into specific ranges. This allows you to export the entire database in parts, ensuring that no records are left out.

How to set it up?

First, add the ID column to the tab you want to export, so you can view and organize records by range before exporting.

  • Go to the Customers page;

  • Click the gear icon next to the columns;

  • Add the ID column to display this information in the list;

  • Take the opportunity to also include any other information you want to export;

After adding the ID column, click on the column header to sort the customers from the lowest to the highest ID.

Note the lowest ID displayed in the list to use as a reference in your filter. In this example, the lowest identified ID is 604000116.

Next, move through the pages of the list until you identify the last ID that will be part of this first range. In this example, the highest ID considered will be 605790754.

Now, create a New tab (or duplicate the existing tab to keep the same columns and settings) and add a filter based on the identified ID range.

After creating the first tab with the ID range, duplicate it to maintain the same column and filter settings. Then, replace the minimum ID with the maximum ID used in the previous tab, and define a new maximum ID corresponding to the next range of records.

Repeat this process until you have segmented the entire customer database.

This way, you will be able to export all records in parts, respecting the platform’s export limit.
