In Ploomes, you can use tags in automations to optimize and organize your processes.
In this example, we will set up an automation that automatically fills in the tag field with "Urgent" whenever a customer created belongs to the South region.
How to create tags?
Go to the Customers screen;
Click on Menu, in the top right corner;
Select the Configure customer tags option;
Set the name and color of the desired tag.
How to create the automation?
Go to Administration > Automations;
Select the Customer entity and click New automation;
Set the trigger to When the item is created;
Configure the filter:
Region > Equal to > South;
Configure the action:
Edit information > Tags > Static value > Urgent;
Click Save.
How to clear tags?
The Tags field is a multiple type, meaning it allows more than one tag to be associated with the same record.
However, when tags are used for segmenting customers or deals, it may be more strategic to keep only one tag at a time, making filters and analyses easier.
How to clear via automation?
In this example, when the customer has the "Status" field changed to Active and belongs to the South region, the automation will remove the "Urgent" tag and add the "Off priority" tag.
Go to Administration > Automations;
Select the Customer entity and click New automation;
Set the trigger to When the item is edited;
Configure the filter:
Region > Equal to > South
Status > Equal to > Active
Configure the action:
Edit data > Tags > Static value > Empty;
Edit data > Tags > Static value > Off priority;
Click Save.
How to clear via bulk edit?
It is also possible to clear tags through bulk edit.
To do this, you need to create a tab applying a filter by the tag you want to remove.
⚠️ Attention: Bulk edit is irreversible. Before confirming the change, carefully check that the data displayed exactly matches the records you want to modify.
Go to the Customers screen;
Click New tab;
Set the name of the tab and who will be able to view it;
Configure the filter:
Tags > Equal to > Urgent case;
Click Create tab.
After creating the tab, follow the steps below to clear the tags:
Click Tab actions;
Select Bulk edit;
Configure:
Tags > Replace with > Empty (or select another tag, if desired);
Click Confirm changes.
