How to Create an Automation to Create a Deal for Customers Created X Days Ago with No Existing Deal?

This article explains how to configure an automation on the Customers entity to automatically create a new deal when a customer reaches a specified number of days since creation and does not yet have an associated deal.

Automating deal creation for customers without registered opportunities is an effective way to ensure that no contact goes without follow-up. With Ploomes Automations, you can identify customers who have reached a specified period since their creation date and still do not have an associated deal, automatically creating a new opportunity for your team to work on.

Configuration

1. Create a New Automation

  • Go to Administration > Automations

  • Select the Customer entity

  • Click New Automation

2. Configure the Description, Trigger, and Filters

  • In the Automation Description field, enter a name that clearly identifies the purpose of the automation.

    Example: Create a deal for customers created 30 days ago with no deal

  • Under When should the automation run?, configure the following settings:

    • Periodically

    • Run automation every: 1 day

    • Start on: Current date (or a date of your choice)

    • Time: 9:00 PM (or a time of your choice)

  • Next, click the + icon to add filters. Configure the following criteria:

Filter 1
Creation Date > Relative Date - equals - Last 30 days

Filter 2
Creation Date > Relative Date - does not equal - Last 29 days

Filter 3
Last Deal - equals - empty

Note: The combination of the first two filters ensures that the automation selects only customers who have reached exactly 30 days since their creation date. If you want to use a different period, simply adjust the values accordingly (for example, 15 days → equals Last 15 days and does not equal Last 14 days).

3. Define the Action

  • Under What should the automation do when triggered?, select:

    • Create Deal

    • Choose the Pipeline and Stage where the deal will be created.

    • Configure the deal fields according to your needs.

      (You can populate the fields with fixed values or use the option to retrieve information from customer fields, adjusting the input type as needed.)

  • Click Save.
