Automating actions after a proposal is created helps standardize processes and ensures that no important step is overlooked. With Ploomes automations, you can automatically update the deal stage and create tasks for the team to continue the sales process.
Configuration
1. Create a New Automation
Go to Administration > Automations
Select the Proposal entity
Click New Automation
2. Configure the Description, Trigger, and Filter
In the Automation Description field, enter a name that identifies the action.
Example: Change the deal stage and create a task when a proposal is generatedUnder When should the automation be triggered?, select:
When the item is created
Next, click the + icon to add the filter:
Filter
Deal > Pipeline - equals - Sales Pipeline
3. Configure the First Action (Change Stage)
Under When triggered, what should the automation do?, select:
Edit data
Under Select a field, choose: Deal > Stage
Set the desired stage
Example: Closing
4. Configure the Second Action (Create Task)
Click Add New Action and select:
Create task
Configure the task fields according to your needs:
Owner
Example: use a dynamic field → Proposal > OwnerTask Type
Example: SimpleTitle
Example: Follow up on the created proposal
Description
Example: Follow up on the newly created proposal and continue the sales process.
Date
You can use the option to set the due date a number of days after the automation is triggered.
Example: 3 days after the automation
Click Save.
