Registering when a customer has gone X days without contact is essential for keeping the database organized and ensuring that the team focuses on truly active records. With Ploomes automations, you can automatically inactivate customers after this period, using the Last Contact field as a reference and avoiding rework through manual updates.
Configuration
1. Create a New Automation
Go to Administration > Automations
Select the Customer entity
Click New Automation
2. Configure the Description, Trigger, and Filters
In the Automation Description field, enter a name that identifies the action.
Example: Inactivate customers after 30 days without contactUnder When should the automation be triggered?, select:
Periodically
Run automation every: 1 day
Start on: current date (or a date of your choice)
Time: 11:00 PM (or a time of your choice)
Next, click the + icon to add the filters. At this stage, configure the following criteria:
1st Filter
Last Contact > Date > Relative Date - equals - Last 30 days
2nd Filter
Last Contact > Date > Relative Date - is not equal to - Last 29 days
3rd Filter
Status - is not equal to - Inactive
Note: The combination of the first two filters ensures that the automation selects only customers who have reached exactly 30 days without contact. If you want to consider 2 months, for example, you can convert it into days and adjust the filters to equals Last 60 days and is not equal to Last 59 days.
3. Define the Action
Under When triggered, what should the automation do?, select:
Edit data
Under Select a field, choose:
Status
Set the value to Inactive
Click Save.
