Why can't I integrate Gmail into Ploomes?

Even with all the correct settings, an error may occur when integrating Gmail into Ploomes. In this article, you will learn how to generate the app password required to complete the integration.


Step-by-step configuration

To allow the integration between Google and Ploomes, follow the instructions below:

  1. Access your Google account and click on Manage your Google Account.

  2. Select the Security tab.

  3. Activate 2-Step Verification, if it is not already enabled.

  4. Click on App passwords (you can use the account search bar if you cannot find the option on the Security screen).

  5. Enter the name "Ploomes" to identify the access and click Create.

  6. Copy the password generated on the screen.

With this password enabled, we can try to perform the email integration again, using your email and the newly generated app password.
